Walter H. “Wally” Kincaid, Jr., 72, of Lima passed away at 7:38 AM on Friday, February 4, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born on April 10, 1949 in Lima, to Walter H. “Hig” Kincaid, Sr. and Rose Florence D’Amico, who both preceded him in death. On April 18, 1970, he married the love of his life, Peggy J. Clum, who survives in Lima. Wally was a pipefitter with Local Union 776 for 28 years. After which he purchased a Comfort Keepers franchise in 1999 and retired from that in June 2019 to pursue his favorite role as a son, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His hobbies included golfing, bowling, fishing, shooting pool, cooking, woodworking and entertaining everyone. He was truly a “jack of all trades”. He was a graduate of Shawnee High School, Class of 1968. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 96, VFW Post 1275, Eagle’s Aerie 370, Elks Lodge 54, Moose Lodge 199, Lima Lodge 205 F&AM, the Board of Senior Citizens and was an Eagle Scout mentor. Wally was never without a smile and a quick witted ornery joke. He never met a stranger and there was never a dull moment when he was around. Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 51 years, Peggy are his daughters Angie (Gregg Burgoon) Hickman of Lima and April (Robert Lizotte) Kincaid of Marysville; his five grandchildren Jonathan (Rima) Hickman, Katie (Cory) Simmons, Jase Hickman, McKena Hickman and Robert G. Lizotte and great-grandson Caden Simmons; his brother John (Wendy) Kincaid of Cridersville; his sisters Gina (Doug) Sanners of Ft. Myers, FL and Pam (Denise Maynard (d)) Cockerell of Valparaiso, IN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Marc A. Kincaid; son-in-law Jim Hickman; brother-in-law Jerry L. (Carol) Clum, Sr. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, where masonic services will be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, with Pastor Dan Lee, officiating. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed on the funeral homes Facebook page. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum immediately following the services at the funeral home. Military honors will be performed by active duty members of the US Navy and the VFW Post 1275 Honor Guard. William “Bill” Ernest Darst, 86 of Lima, passed away March 1, 2022, at 8:55 am, at Otterbein Cridersville. Bill was born January 16, 1936 in Middleport, OH, to David and Clara Mae (Hamilton) Darst, who preceded him in death. He married Norma Willis Darst, who passed away. On June 27, 1992 he married Mary Ann (Kistner) Kinstle-Darst, who survives him in Lima. Bill was a 1953 graduate of Middleport High and went on to further his education at The Ohio State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1957. He started as a school teacher in Pleasantville, Ohio, taught music at Perry and later worked for Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 776; he retired in 1998. Bill was a wonderful musician. He was 1st Trumpet in The Ohio State Marching Band, 1st Chair Trumpet in the Lima Symphony Orchestra and he won many state awards playing trumpet in high school. Bill played trumpet in a popular band, Penjendrum, for 13 years back in the 70s and 80s. He enjoyed ballroom dancing for many years; that is how he met his wife, Mary Ann, whom he adored. Bill was the owner of a Dairy Queen in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, he was an avid golfer who golfed in many leagues and he loved to watch all sports, especially Ohio State and the Cleveland Browns, but never the State Up North. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Jeffrey Darst, Barbara (Greg) Moreland and Lara Darst; step-children, Rebecca (Bill) Bailey, Craig (Anna) Kinstle, Robert (Sandy) Kinstle and Linda (Tony) Raterman; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Patrick D. Rohrbach, 64, of St. Marys, OH (formerly of Wapakoneta, OH) died at 7:15 p.m. Friday July 8, 2022 at JTDM Hospital in St. Marys. He was born March 29, 1958 in St. Marys, OH to Virgil and Victoria (Greve) Rohrbach. Survivors include: son Travis Rohrbach of Toledo, OH, son Shane Rohrbach of Bellefontaine, OH, granddaughter Spohia Rohrbach, sister Deb Weaks of St. Marys, OH,sister Cindy Gray of Celina, OH, sister Andrea (Michael) Eberle of St. Marys, OH and sister-in-law Deb Rohrbach of St. Marys, OH Preceded in death by: parents Virgil and Victoria Rohrbach; son Nicholas Raver; daughter Shiloh Rohrbach; brother Steve Rohrbach; brother Neil Rohrbach; brother-in-law Robert Weaks; brother-in-law Richard Gray He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1976). He had been an employee of Huffy Bicycle Mfg. Co. in Celina, OH and St. Marys Foundry Co., prior to retiring from Plumbers and Pipefitters Service Technicians Union Local # 776 in Lima, OH. An avid biker, he "lived to ride" his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Always concerned for the safety of bikers, he was a charter member of ABATE of Ohio (Region 3). He also truly enjoyed spending time with his friends and being a father. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday July 15, 2022 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church 511 E. Spring in St. Marys with the Rev. Robert Muhlenkamp, celebrant. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery, in St. Marys. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Out of stockTerry Lee Steele, 65, passed away on July 10, 2022, at his residence. Terry was born on November 2, 1956 in Lima, Ohio, to Vernon L. and Joyce (Mobley) Steele. Terry was a graduate of the Lima Senior Adult Education Program. He was also a member of the Plumbers-Pipefitters Local Union 776. Terry was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed spending time with his family, kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He loved to golf, fish, and cooking, especially for family cookouts. He is survived by his children, Terry Steele Jr., Jody (Scott) Shaw, Brandy Steele, and Katie Steele; mother of his children, Cheryl Morlock; grandchildren, Jessica, Kaylynn, Jayden, Carli (Trent), Jewel, Kayleb, Olivia, Kennedy, Elijah, and Kaliyah; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Avalynn, and Austin Jr.; and his siblings, John Steele, Rick Steele, and Donna (David) Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Brianna Longmeier, and a sister, Connie Stolzenenberg. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Allentown Cemetery, Allentown.
